  I recently used Knopps removals when I relocated. I had called a more 'local' company for a quote and almost fell off my chair at the price quoted. I didn't want to buy their truck, just rent it.

  I read these positive google reviews just after Easter, before deciding to employ Knopps Removals to backload an item of furniture from Hobart to SE Queensland for me. However, my experience was similar to that of Belinda expressed in her 'Yellow Pages' review I found by Googling Knopps Removals. I found the service to be disappointing, unprofessional, and non communicative over the 6 weeks that I have waited for the item to be collected and delivered. It has still not been collected. This is no doubt due to problems at the Hobart end where household goods have not been able to be unloaded because the client for that job can't find a residence !? My dissatisfaction relates to a number of things. Initially, after giving Knopps the go ahead for the job over the phone and emailing all the details to them I did not ever receive any email confirmation from them that they had the details and were accepting the job. This was the first sign to me of lack of professionalism and did trigger a few warning bells for me that I should have taken more notice of. Because following that, and as Belinda says in her negative review, no communication was initiated by this company through the 6 weeks I have been waiting. The owner did not return calls and only by eventually emailing secretary Vicki was I told each week that the item would be collected 'next week', but of course it never was collected. They were never up front with me about the real situation and the real likelihood that they would not be able to deliver my item for months and months, until I basically worked out what might be happening and dragged the real story out of them. I will now employ a Gold Coast Company, who also quoted, but in a professional manner, 6 weeks ago, and who would have had the item delivered to me well before now.

  I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Knopps Removals. They charged me significantly more than I was quoted and refused to refund me when that was challenged. I would not recommend using them.

  I moved to Mount Isa Queensland from Melbourne. Even though they took too long to deliver my stuff I would say their service is not that bad. The only thing I would like to add their delivery people here at Mount Isa are not that expert in moving the things that I got superb in Melbourne.

  Pleasant surprise when I called Knopps. Was given a quote at just over half the price of the local and they had to travel further. Move went off without a hitch, the men even hooked up my washer and plugged in the frig.
